“宅”

如题，英文咋表达？

这个词做动词用的意思来自东面的日本，于是上海日报等直接用的就是日语的译音：Otaku。

"Otaku（オタク）是一个纯正的日语词，写成汉字就是"御�"，最初是指"您家"或者"贵府"，属于敬语。不过和汉语的"兄台"一样慢慢变成"贵样"（きさま）那样的蔑称了。"

固然不假，但英文中也有表达类似含义的词汇（看来在全球化影响下，年轻人的共性也多，"宅"是其中一例），就是staycation，stay和vacation的组合。

英文中有现成用法，多好。需要说明的是，Otaku和"宅"完全是日语的不同书面表达，内涵外延完全一致，staycation则是英语原创（就我所知，是英国年轻人的流行语），内涵外延比"宅"要大一些。
